The 3500 has been recalled 31 times. The 2013 model year has been involved in the most campaigns.
Recalls are free repairs, initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Ram itself, for a widespread safety problem. They might be a pain, but a recalled problem is better than an ignored one.

2021 Ram Super Duty truck owners are being told to park outside and away from buildings.
That's never a good sign. The Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel engine has an electrical short inside the intake air heater relay. Stellantis says the short can happen even when the truck is turned off and it's responsible for three fires.…

The problem is caused by pins in the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) that stick open in higher temperatures. Fiat-Chrysler is expanding a previous recall of 1.8 million vehicles to include trucks with column shifters that were built between 01/01/2017 and 01/10/2018.

This drag link separation will likely cause a complete loss of steering control which is … not ideal. FCA hasn’t said when the recall will begin but they better hurry up as the problem is already responsible for 8 accidents.
I hate to be a drag, but that number is only going to rise if this takes much longer.
